50"x100" Media printed in just 60 seconds

The Giant Poli Laserlab 1270x2500

The very latest in printing speed and quality has just got bigger.

The new Laserlab1270x2500 can print to full size either matt or gloss photographic media at 254dpi in just 60 seconds. The Giant Laserlab is directly connected to a standard RA4 processor running at 50 metres/minute satisfying the Giant Laserlab's enormous capacity for work.

The Giant Laserlab is far more efficient than any Lambda or Lightjet type printer, not only in terms of speed, but ergonomically too. There is NO media handling from exposure to the finished work, unlike Lambda and Lightjet units that only expose the media. Combine this with the ultimate in quality printing and you have a production tool that out paces any other photographic printer on the market today.

Dimensions

All this enormous capacity comes in a remarkably small package. Measuring its footprint at just 1.78 x 3.40 metres the Giant Laserlab takes up just 6 square metres of production space.

The Giant Laserlab is compatible with photographic media from Kodak, Fuji and Agfa and is available at a media cost of below £1.50 per square metre. This makes photographic media more cost effective than some inkjet media/ink combinations. Also photographic media has a proven archival lifespan of close 100 years which is only theoretical with some ink products.

The Giant Laserlab uses standard RA4 processing chemicals available from any of the leading media manufacturers, Kodak, Fuji, and Agfa. The processor uses a completely self contained replenished system, thus minimising operator maintenance.

The Giant Laserlab incorporates 20" to 50" photographic roll media that is cut to size prior to exposure by the RGB laser system. This media is then processed through the RA4 chemicals and is presented at the rear of the processor as  a finished poster
